FNA is a dynamic organization with unprecedented growth due largely to its ability to attract and retain highly talented associates.We are looking to add a Staff Accountant who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, growing environment.Summary:The Staff Accountant provides support to the accounting team by performing basic accounting tasks, assisting with month-end close activities, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position is ideal for individuals beginning their accounting career who are eager to gain hands-on experience with general ledger functions, financial reporting, and compliance processes.Duties / Responsibilities:Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.Assist with bank and account reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate balancing of accounts.Prepare and enter journal entries under supervision (accruals, adjustments, recurring entries).Support month-end and year-end close by organizing documentation, running reports, and ensuring data completeness.Help maintain the general ledger by verifying transaction accuracy and correcting simple errors.Generate routine financial reports, spreadsheets, and support schedules for senior accountants.Assist with invoice processing, expense reports, and vendor/customer account maintenance.Maintain organized financial files, both electronic and physical, to support audits and compliance.Support audits by retrieving backup documentation and responding to auditor requests.Collaborate with the accounting team to improve internal processes and ensure accounting standards are met.Role Expectations:Works under close supervision from Staff or Senior Accountants.Produces accurate work that will be reviewed before final posting.Develops foundational skills with the goal of advancing to a Senior Staff Accountant role.Required Skills / Abilities:Basic understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting concepts.Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Acumatica, etc.).Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively with senior team members.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.0 - 2 years of experience.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
