Production Coordinator Assistant

Primary Purpose:
Assists in conducting daily activities related to production work, to include organizing orders, staging, and completing associated documentation and reports to ensure on-hand materials are available for scheduled production plans.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Creates and prints work orders for machine production, hose production and select fabrication
- Closes work orders for the fabrication department
- Scans, prints and distributes .pdf copies of work orders
- Produces job packets required for machine production
- Initiates deviations, as needed, for work orders, based on OOS components or BOM updates
- Generates production reports on machines, hoses and select fabrication
- Assists in constructing production schedules for machines, hoses and fabrication
- Adjusts hose and fabrication schedules based on production schedule
- Requests transfers of selected fabricated parts to and from other warehouses
- Modifies schedules, as needed, to account for material deliveries
- Works with the production teams to support raw material variances for hoses and fabrication
- Monitors the status of multiple work orders and provides reports to management
- Other duties as may be assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and MPS (Master Production Schedule)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems for production work orders
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate to advanced skill with Excel; experienced with scanning/copying and data entry
- Able to handle working on and completing projects within tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism
Education and Experience:
- 2-5 years' experience in production operations
- High School diploma or GED required
