What You'll Do:
- Troubleshoots, rewires and repairs to district motors (e.g., boiler systems, HVAC systems, compressors) and related parts (e.g., drives, controls).
- Performs scheduled maintenance to motorized devices (e.g., dividing walls, lifting units), and pumps and anti-flooding equipment
- Repairs and performs scheduled maintenance on district appliances (e.g., kitchen, laundry), custodial floor equipment, and small electrical hand tools.
- Reads and interprets schematic power and control diagrams.
- Communicates and coordinates with staff at work site.
- Prepares and cleans up job site (e.g., erecting scaffolding), taking into consideration safety concerns of self and others (e.g., students, employees), and disposes of waste and flammable materials.
- Performs inventory control of supplies, determines products and supplies needed for work order, and coordinates purchase order and obtains supplies from local vendors.
- Performs work and cross trains in at least one other trade as an apprentice.
- Assists with snow removal efforts on a 24 hour on-call basis.
- Responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Performs other duties, as requested.
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- L2: Four (4) years experience
- Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet District insurability standards.
- District specific training or equivalent required for all levels.
