I am a subcontractor seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial and Residential Painter to join my team! In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on both commercial and residential properties. Duties
- Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns—including airless paint spraying—and other equipment.
- Perform detailed work on various surfaces including drywall, plastering, stucco, masonry, and concrete finishing.
- Execute renovation and restoration projects by repairing damaged surfaces and matching existing finishes with color theory knowledge.
- Install fixtures, trim carpentry, caulking, and perform basic carpentry tasks like framing or remodeling as needed.
- Maintain safety standards on construction sites while working with power tools, scaffolding, welding equipment, and other industrial tools.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout projects to ensure smooth completion and adherence to client expectations.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to plan project timelines and ensure efficient workflow during construction painting or commercial site work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential painting as well as commercial or industrial painting projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and reading blueprints or schematics accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, spray equipment—including airless paint sprayers—and scaffolding safely.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and experience working on active construction sites.
- Knowledge of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects in residential spaces.
- Ability to perform plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry work, and concrete finishing when required.
- Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities efficiently.
- Experience with renovation projects involving fixture installation, restoration work, framing carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics effectively.
