Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Understanding of aircraft, engines, components, and systems involved in the overhaul and repair process; 2) Controlling, coordinating and expediting the timely and efficient repair or replacement of inoperable or high time components to meet or exceed depot/customer production requirements and deadlines; 3) Identifying proper custodian of aircraft having defective or high time components; 4) Communicating with Type Commanders (TYCOMs), MRO Production Aircraft Branch Teams, and feeder shops to determine which is more cost-effective, repair or replacement; 5) Performing controlled cannibalization to alleviate material shortages.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series
