Job Overview
Applicant needs experience with basic office and computer skills, with knowledge of QuickBooks a plus. Company will provide training to handle office duties including: Answering the phone, taking orders, preparing shipping papers, filing, making payments to venders, and keeping up with emails.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administrative tasks including scheduling, correspondence, and document organization to keep office operations seamless.
  • Prepare, review, and record journal entries using various accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Perform account reconciliations including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Conduct payroll processing and maintain detailed records of employee hours, tax filings, and related documentation.
  • Prepare financial reports by analyzing account data, ensuring accuracy in financial concepts like debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation.

Skills

  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles including GAAP and governmental accounting standards.
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting.
  • Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping systems along with the ability to perform journal entries accurately.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll management.
  • Ability to interpret financial concepts such as debits & credits, account reconciliation, and financial report writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
