Responsibilities
- Manage daily administrative tasks including scheduling, correspondence, and document organization to keep office operations seamless.
- Prepare, review, and record journal entries using various accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Perform account reconciliations including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct payroll processing and maintain detailed records of employee hours, tax filings, and related documentation.
- Prepare financial reports by analyzing account data, ensuring accuracy in financial concepts like debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation.
Skills
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles including GAAP and governmental accounting standards.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting.
- Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping systems along with the ability to perform journal entries accurately.
- Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll management.
- Ability to interpret financial concepts such as debits & credits, account reconciliation, and financial report writing.
- Excellent organizational skills.
