Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Route Sales Representative based in Merrillville, IN. The Route Sales Representative will be responsible for managing assigned sales routes, ensuring product delivery to customers, and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients. Daily tasks include stocking and rotating products, merchandising shelves, executing promotions, and optimizing product display to maximize sales. This role also includes monitoring inventory, identifying customer needs, and ensuring timely order fulfillment while achieving sales and service goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or route delivery is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to manage schedules, deliveries, and inventory efficiently.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for operating delivery vehicles.
- Ability to lift and move bakery products, with physical capability for daily route and stocking tasks.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet performance goals.
- Basic math skills for handling invoices, payments, and managing inventory.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional education or training in sales or transportation is advantageous.
- Experience in the food or bakery industry is considered a plus.
