About the Role
Flowers Communications Group is seeking an experienced, client-facing Account Supervisor to lead the day-to-day management of a high-impact account focused on nonprofit, community engagement, and school system partnerships. This role is ideal for a strategic, execution-focused leader who understands how to navigate education systems, community stakeholders, and mission-driven organizations while delivering integrated marketing and communications programs that drive measurable impact. The Account Supervisor will serve as a trusted client partner, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure all work is delivered with cultural relevance, operational excellence, and strong community alignment.
Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Account Management
- Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, building strong and trusted relationships
- Lead status meetings, planning sessions, and ongoing communications with client stakeholders
- Provide strategic counsel grounded in community insight, education systems, and nonprofit dynamics
- Ensure alignment between client goals, agency strategy, and execution
- Manage approvals, timelines, and deliverables across all work-streams
Program & Project Leadership
- Oversee the development and execution of integrated campaigns and community-based initiatives
- Manage timelines, project plans, and cross-functional coordination across strategy, creative, PR, and experiential teams
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, deadlines, and client expectations
- Identify risks, proactively problem-solve, and escalate issues as needed
- Maintain clear documentation, reporting, and workflow management
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead engagement with nonprofit organizations, community partners, and school systems
- Ensure programming reflects authentic community needs, cultural relevance, and equitable access
- Support relationship-building with local stakeholders, educators, and administrators
- Guide the development of community-facing materials, events, and communications
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage and mentor junior team members, supporting strong performance and professional growth
- Foster collaboration across internal teams and external partners
- Create a positive, solutions-oriented team environment
Budget & Operational Oversight
- Manage program budgets, tracking actuals against estimates
- Partner with finance and leadership on billing, forecasting, and scope management
- Ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining high-quality delivery
Reporting & Insights
- Oversee the development of reports, recaps, and performance summaries
- Translate data and insights into actionable recommendations
- Identify opportunities to optimize programs and improve impact
Qualifications and Experience
- Six or more years of experience in account management, integrated marketing, or communications
- Experience working with nonprofits, community-based organizations, and/or school systems (K–12 or higher education)
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and complex stakeholder environments
- Experience leading integrated campaigns or community engagement initiatives
- Chicago-based candidates with a strong understanding of local communities are highly preferred

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Work Environment
This hybrid role is based in Chicago and requires regular collaboration with internal teams and client stakeholders. Occasional local travel to community events, partner sites, or school locations may be required. The candidate selected for this role will report to the EVP, Integrated Marketing Services.
