Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong attention to detail. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing concept drawings and completing manufacturing drawings of complex tooling, flow meters, and measurement systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering principles, experience with 3-D modeling in SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed 2D and 3D models, assemblies and drawings of products based on customer specifications from initial concept to final production.
- Prepare and maintain detailed engineering records.
- Prepare Bills of Material (BOMs), initiate material procurement for active projects, and verify stock is ready for manufacturing.
- Prototype and test mechanical designs to validate functionality, performance, and durability.
- Communicate with customers to guarantee project success.
- Collaborate with other engineering staff to prepare electronic sketches, drawings, or other technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar role, preferably in manufacturing or production.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
- Design experience with weldments, pressure piping, and/or automation.
- Hands-on experience with basic tools, DC electronics, and pneumatics.
- Working knowledge of traditional machining process on both manual and CNC machines
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical design and product development.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Some overtime may be required

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
