What You’ll Do
- Provide cost estimates for a wide range of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and hydronic solutions.
- Play a pivotal role in nurturing and expanding their portfolio of clients while upholding the high standards of customer service that define R. Brooks Mechanical.
- Actively seek new opportunities, participating in networking events, and consistently engage with both existing and potential clients to foster sustained growth.
- Uncover customer challenges through discovery and communicate value-based solutions, not just price
- Conduct site visits, manage estimating and quoting, and present tailored bid/spec and design-build solutions to customers.
- Close deals with confidence—and stay involved from start to finish, including ordering equipment and materials, leading R. Brooks staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Build long-term relationships with building owners, facility managers, and commercial property stakeholders
- Consistently update CRM (Pipedrive) to track pipeline and sales activities
- Conduct on-site visits to assess existing conditions, collect field measurements, and identify potential project challenges or opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with our team partners, engineers, and project managers to develop practical, cost-effective approaches for design-build projects.
- Analyze project requirements, interpret drawings and specifications, and prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Provide technical insight during the proposal phase to ensure our solutions meet client needs, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Participate in design review meetings, offering constructability and value-engineering recommendations. What We’re Looking For:
- Prefer experience in commercial HVAC estimating with strong mechanical aptitude and a good grasp of load calculations, duct & pipe sizing, and mechanical code.
- Confident closer with the ability to sell solutions and build trust.
- Familiarity with bidding on bid and spec jobs, performing takeoffs, and collecting vendor quotes. Design-build project experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in gathering submittals and navigating the approval process.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Analytical and innovative thinking abilities, enabling the development of solutions to technically complex requests in a fast-paced environment.
