Role Summary
The Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting Flow’s Waterjet and Fiber Laser Cutting and Press Brake machinery. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to travel extensively.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
TRAVEL: Travel extensively (up to 100% overnight, Monday–Friday; occasional international travel)
Location: This position is for the Greater Boston/Worcester area.

Role Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair Waterjet, CNC Laser and Press Brake systems.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Train customers in machine operation, preventive maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and software issues.
- Complete detailed service documentation and reports.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and assist with parts identification.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and holiday support.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Proficient in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to analyze and resolve technical problems using sound judgment.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Concur, and Kronos.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Strong initiative, a positive attitude, and a dependable work ethic.
- Ability to organize work, manage time effectively, and work independently.
- Standard office and administrative equipment
- Diagnostic tools, hand tools, and machine tools
- Flow International systems and software platforms
- High school diploma required; AA degree in Electronics, Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Waterjet, CNC Laser, or Press Brake.
- Hands-on experience with industrial machinery installation or field service
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends
- Base Compensation: $33–$36 per hour, depending on experience, plus overtime
