Packaging Supervisor

We're currently looking for a talented Packing Supervisor for our North Carolina facility. Our Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the packing operations and ensuring efficient and accurate packaging of products. This role involves supervising a team of packers, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining quality control standards. The Packing Supervisor collaborates with other departments to meet production goals and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all packing activities are carried out efficiently and meet quality standards.
• Train and mentor packing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Supervise and coordinate the packing operations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of packing materials and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Collaborate with other departments and locations to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of packed products.
• Conduct regular inspections of packing equipment and machinery to identify any maintenance or repair needs.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for packing staff.
• Monitor and analyze packing productivity and efficiency metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Resolve any packing-related issues or complaints from customers or internal stakeholders in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• Flexibility to change objectives and methods as needed.
• Initiates and Assists with all policies and procedures as well as disciplinary and performance review meetings as needed.

Schedule:

The on premises hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, but the position requires on call time as well. This is a physically active position where you will have to stand for prolonged periods of time.

• Previous Management experience
• Previous packing/shipping experience
• Previous inventory management experience
• Good mathematical and measurement skills
• Ability to use scales from gram/liter/ounce/pound
• Able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 lbs
• Have dependable transportation and smart phone
• Ability to transport finished packages to Post Office as needed
• On-Call availability
• Clear concise communication skills
• Able to pass a background check

Preferred but not required:

• Previous Hemp/Cannabis industry experience
• Knowledge of Ship Station, Big-Commerce, Shopify

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
