What You'll Do
As an Implant & Oral Surgery Dental Assistant, you'll work side-by-side with Dr. Tran and our surgical team, assisting with advanced surgical procedures and helping provide an exceptional patient experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Chairside assisting during IV sedation procedures
- Assisting with full-arch implant rehabilitation (All-on-X)
- Surgical implant placement
- Zygomatic implant surgery
- Pterygoid implant surgery
- Sinus lift procedures
- Bone grafting and ridge preservation
- PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) preparation and surgical applications
- Surgical extractions, impacted teeth, and other complex oral surgery procedures
- Preparing and maintaining sterile surgical operatories
- Setting up implant systems, surgical motors, instrumentation, and sedation equipment
- Reviewing medical histories, obtaining vital signs, and preparing patients for surgery
- Taking digital radiographs, CBCT scans, intraoral scans, impressions, and clinical photographs
- Monitoring patient comfort throughout surgical procedures
- Providing pre-operative and post-operative patient education
- Coordinating surgical schedules with our Magnolia, Midtown, and Tomball teams
- Traveling between our three locations as scheduled to support surgical days
What We're Looking For
Required
- Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between our three offices
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and efficient during surgical procedures
Preferred but not required
- Experience assisting with IV sedation cases
- Experience with full-arch implant rehabilitation (All-on-X)
- Experience assisting with zygomatic and pterygoid implant procedures
- Experience with PRF preparation
- Experience with Open Dental software
- Experience using CBCT imaging and digital scanners
