What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oral Surgery Assistant position at Spring Klein Oral Surgery?
We are looking for a team -oriented surgical assistant with 2 years of experience in ORAL SURGERY. Who will make the office more efficient and pleasant for patients. The surgical assistant should be well-organized with great attention to detail in ORAL SURGERY. Following instructions and asking questions in the process of learning. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care, anticipate next step, take initiative and be able to make dental procedures run as smooth as possible. Applicants with ORAL SURGERY experience is only considered.
Responsibilities
Welcome patients in the dental office
Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed for surgery
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Provide pre op and post op instructions for surgery
Keep dental rooms clean and well stocked
Track patient records
Taking x-rays (PA, Panoramic and Cone Beam CT scan)
Be able to use an intraoral scanner
Be able to function as a primary oral surgery assistant for all procedures both under local anesthesia and intravenous sedation
Applicant must have a current RDA and BLS certificate
Within 6 months the assistant will take the ACLS Course
Within 8 months the assistant will take the AAOMS DANNCE certification program
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
