Prep Cook / Salad, Pizza & Baked Pasta Station
Florio’s Italian Restaurant – Lincoln, NE
Florio’s Italian Restaurant is looking for a dependable, experienced kitchen team member to work our salad, pizza, and baked-pasta station and assist with daily food preparation.
Schedule & Availability

- Evening availability is required during the week
- Saturday and Sunday availability is required
- Weekend shifts may include double shifts
- Applicants must have reliable and consistent weekend availability
- This is not a Monday–Friday daytime position
Because weekends are an important part of our business, Saturday and Sunday availability is a requirement for this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare salads and salad ingredients during service
- Prepare and bake pasta dishes, including lasagna and other baked Italian dishes
- Prepare and bake pizzas
- Plate and prepare desserts for service
- Assist with daily food preparation
- Portion and organize ingredients according to our recipes and standards
- Set up and maintain a clean, stocked, and organized station
- Follow Florio’s recipes, portion standards, and food-safety procedures
- Keep up with orders during busy dinner service
- Assist other members of the kitchen team when needed
- Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and assigned side-work responsibilities
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen
- Organized and able to keep a clean workstation
- Able to follow recipes, portion standards, and established procedures
- Able to work independently while also being part of a kitchen team
- Willing to help with prep and other kitchen responsibilities when needed
- Available to work evenings and weekends, including weekend double shifts
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, especially experience with prep, pizza, salads, sauté, line cooking, or similar kitchen work.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is reliable, takes pride in their work, and wants a stable position with a professional kitchen team.
