SUMMARY: Performs work in quality auditing of finished product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Verifies the quality of finished ware that is put into inventory; audits product according to specifications;
- Examines and tests random cartons of finished products and keeps records;
- Checks pallets for uniformity of product and enters pallet information into computer;
- Holds finished product that does not meet specification;
- Works with the selection department to keep the pallet audit area running efficiently and in turn the selection department;
- Assist in operation of the LGV’s and hooding machine;
- Learn the duties of the Senior Audit Technician for defects, shade control and size control;
- Performs duties of the Senior Audit Lab Technician as necessary to cover absences
- Cleans tools and equipment used to perform duties;
- Performs related tasks as required;
- Practices correct safety procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- General knowledge of laboratory techniques, material, and equipment
- General knowledge of the specifications for finished product
- Ability to take samples and perform the necessary tests
- Ability to keep records and prepare reports
- Ability to differentiate colors
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions
- Ability to make decisions involving the use of some judgment; ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
