Shop Tech (Diesel Mechanic)
Qualifications:Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for vehicle maintenance of tractor-trailers and repair on all company vehicles as needed
- General knowledge and mechanical skills Reliable transportation
- Basic hand tools
- Be able to lift to 70lbs (Over 70lbs team lift required)
- Basic Computer Skills requires (Diagnostic computer skills a plus)
- Able to work a 40-hour work week
- Able to work occasional overtime
- Preventive Maintenance Work required
- Must be trained in basic air brake and ABS functions and diagnostic.
Knowledge and Skills:
- One-year mechanical experience required
Education and Work Experience:
- Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Petroleum tank repair experience and certifications highly preferred
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience working on air brake systems
- Ability to perform annual federal inspections on trucks and trailers
- Must provide own tools up to 1/2" drive.
