Job Summary
As the main, and often first point of contact with our guests, the Vines Host is one of our most important roles. Our Hosts greet every guest in a friendly and efficient manner. They are responsible for our reservation and seating system and enthusiastically communicating accurate information to our guests.
General Accountabilities
- Provides guests with menus.
- Assigns guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings.
- Speaks with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, or to respond to questions and complaints.
- Monitors and manages reservation system to ensure proper guest assignment, making note of celebrations and special requests.
- Answers telephone calls and responds to inquiries or transfers calls.
- Maintains contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly and customers' concerns are addressed.
- Inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
- Informs patrons of establishment specialties and features.
- Receives and record patrons' dining reservations.
- Inspects restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and cleans restrooms when necessary.

Job Qualifications
- Must represent Vines Mission, Vision and Values
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of one year hosts experience in a fast-paced, upscale fine dining restaurant environment preferred
- Minimum of one year experience with OpenTable or Resy reservation system highly desired!
- Passion for Guest service!

Physical Demands
