What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A CDL Driver position at Florida Linen Services LLC?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able to operate manual and shift trailer trucks .
- Operates a company owned delivery vehicle on established or alternate route as scheduled.
- Delivering carts in the most time-efficient manner and collecting signed delivery tickets.
- Validates the content of delivery by performing a reconciliation of carts to be delivered to customer and from customer.
- Performs pre and post truck inspections daily.
- Maintains the condition of the delivery truck including gas and keeping it clean.
- Provides reports about any interruptions and other concerns.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
- Adheres to all traffic rules and DOT regulations.
- Must be punctual and stringent about timings and make no delays in deliveries.
- Must be prepared to work in any traffic pattern, severe weather and strict deadlines according to our business needs.
- Will provide professional and courteous service to our customers and their staff at all times.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid Class A driver’s license.
- Must have 3 or more years related experience.
- Must have clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug and background test.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to work independently, be responsible for route, and work unsupervised 90% of the time.
- Must have a clear understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines and commitments.
- Must be able to performance basic math operations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- The ability to effectively meet customer needs.
- Candidates will be subject to all DOT pre-hire requirements.
