The Payroll Specialist will independently handle a wide range of administrative and payroll related tasks must be exceedingly well organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting multi site-wide team of diverse people and programs. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and computer skills with ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. This role also requires the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations while being proactive, resourceful, and efficient and maintaining a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in dealing with sensitive information. The payroll Analyst works closely with HR and Finance to maintain efficient and compliant payroll operations.

Detailed Roles & Responsibilities
- Administers weekly hourly union and non-union employee payroll via Kronos, Simple Farm and SAP
- Verify employee hours and schedules.
- Add and manage pay codes in Kronos time and attendance system relating to Paid Leaves, Short Term Disability, FMLA, etc.
- Update and send forms to corporate payroll department for processing.
- Pay out vacation, bonus, incentives, short pays and pay advances
- Administer rate increases and shift differentials
- Prepare payroll reports for management and auditing purposes
- Respond to employees inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax withholding
- Promptly address employee questions, providing clear and accurate information to resolve concerns efficiently in a professional and courteous manner
- Expense reimbursement to employees for out-of-pocket purchases for safety equipment
- Performs testing in Kronos timekeeping and attendance system
- Perform other administrative duties as needed
- Process Employment Verifications forms
- Maintain deductions
- Collaborate with others department on other payroll functions, including but not limited to benefits, deductions, and reporting.
- Able to work weekends and holidays, as needed
- Maintain payroll records electronically
- Maintain inventory of payroll related supplies

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting Finance, or related field preferred
- 2 years of payroll experience, strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
