Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction site operations from mobilization to project closeout
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and field staff
- Develop and manage short-term schedules and look-ahead plans
- Monitor progress, quality, and productivity on-site
- Conduct daily site inspections and enforce safety policies (OSHA compliance)
- Lead project meetings with subcontractors, site staff, and project management team
- Resolve field issues quickly to avoid delays and cost overruns
- Collaborate with project managers to align field operations with project goals
- Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and site documentation
- Ensure proper site logistics, including deliveries, staging, and equipment use
- Mentor and train assistant superintendents and field engineers
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in construction supervision (commercial, residential, or infrastructure as applicable)
- Proven track record as a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent on large-scale projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequencing, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Proficiency with project management and field software (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, MS Project)
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Effective communication skills for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus in Florida and many U.S. markets
