Construction Assistant Project Manager – High-Rise Construction (On-Site)

POSITION OVERVIEW
Are you an Assistant Project Manager who desires to work on-site, contribute to high-rise projects, and grow your project leadership responsibilities?
Florida Construction Connection is working with a specialty subcontractor seeking an On-Site Assistant Project Manager to support project delivery and coordination between the office, field teams, and General Contractor.

YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Assist the Project Manager with execution of the company’s contracted scope from mobilization through closeout.
- Coordinate with the General Contractor, field supervisors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation.
- Track procurement, material deliveries, manpower needs, and schedule commitments.
- Support cost tracking, change orders, pay applications, and progress reporting.
- Review drawings and specifications to identify scope requirements and potential conflicts.
- Participate in site meetings, track action items, and follow through on commitments.
- Support quality, safety, punch work, and closeout requirements.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
- At least three years of construction experience supporting a Project Manager.
- Experience on high-rise projects with a subcontractor or General Contractor.
- Proficiency in Procore and strong document management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Working knowledge of scheduling, construction sequencing, cost control, and safety practices.
- Clear communication, organization, and a strong sense of urgency.
- A desire to work on-site and build a career in project management.
