Duties
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics and basic repairs to assess vehicle condition before towing.
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or specialized lifting tools.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns professionally.
- Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including logs of vehicle pickups, drop-offs, and service details.
- Perform routine inspections of tow trucks and related equipment to ensure safety standards are met and perform minor mechanical repairs as needed.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmissions and understanding of automotive systems.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is essential.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Hands-on experience with tow trucks, flatbeds, forklifts, and other heavy-duty equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict management professionally.
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and basic troubleshooting techniques.
