Position Summary
The Steel Erection Welder / Ironworker is responsible for installing, aligning, and welding structural steel components including beams, columns, and girders. This role requires experience in steel erection, blueprint reading, and certified welding practices in a fast-paced construction environment.

Position Summary
The Steel Erection Welder / Ironworker is responsible for installing, aligning, and welding structural steel components including beams, columns, and girders. This role requires experience in steel erection, blueprint reading, and certified welding practices in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Install structural steel including beams, columns, joists, and decking
- Align steel components using levels, lasers, and plumb bobs
- Perform structural welding in accordance with project requirements
- Bolt and secure steel members into place
- Signal crane operators to safely hoist materials
- Assemble steel frameworks and structural components
- Cut, bend, and weld steel using appropriate tools and equipment
- Safely operate lifts, hoists, and other jobsite equipment
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
- Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions
- Welding experience with current certifications or ability to pass weld tests
- Experience in structural steel erection preferred
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Knowledge of rigging and signaling
- Basic to intermediate math skills
- Ability to work at heights and in outdoor conditions
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work
- Must be able to communicate in English (verbal and written)
