Florence 1 Schools, an award-winning and progressive school district in South Carolina, is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as Assistant Superintendent for Preschool through Fifth Grade.
This executive leadership position provides oversight of 14 elementary schools and two Child Development Centers serving more than 7,500 students. Four of these schools are magnet programs with specialized focuses in STEAM, Spanish Immersion, Montessori, and Fine Arts. The Assistant Superintendent works closely with principals and district leaders to support high-quality instruction, improve student outcomes, and ensure the effective implementation of district initiatives.
Qualifications
- Doctorate degree preferred in Educational Administration.
- South Carolina Administrative Certification required
- Successful administrative experience as a principal (minimum of 5 years)
- Strong leadership, communication, and instructional expertise
Terms of Employment
- 240-day contract
- Salary commensurate with experience
