Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
- Create a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional methods accordingly to ensure academic success.
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and support staff to provide comprehensive services to students.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavioral issues, and strategies for support at home.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in special education.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with children with special needs, preferably in a self-contained classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs.
