Teacher - Spanish

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Teacher to join the team at Florence School District Three. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in Spanish to students at various levels, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting an appreciation for the Spanish language and culture. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student success, utilize innovative teaching strategies, and engage students in meaningful learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Teach Spanish language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, using a variety of instructional methods and materials.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
• Utilize technology and multimedia resources to enhance instruction and engage students.
• Foster an appreciation for Hispanic culture through the integration of cultural lessons and activities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in language instruction.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to support school-wide initiatives and enhance the overall educational experience.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification in Spanish for the appropriate grade level.
• Strong proficiency in Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
• Previous teaching experience in a K-12 setting preferred.
• Knowledge of effective language teaching methodologies and assessment practices.
• Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
