Floor Coverings International of Harrisburg, PA is a locally owned flooring company offering a best-in-class, in-home experience through our mobile showroom. Our team is growing, and we are seeking a highly organized, proactive Production Coordinator to own and manage all aspects of job production from sale to completion.

The Production Coordinator is responsible for managing flooring projects after the sale is complete, ensuring materials are ordered accurately, jobs are scheduled efficiently, installers are coordinated, and customers receive an exceptional experience. This role is critical to maintaining quality, controlling costs, and keeping projects moving smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all production activities for sold flooring jobs.
• Schedule installations with customers and installers, ensuring alignment on scope, prep work, and timelines.
• Order materials and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor inventory and identify purchasing or freight optimization opportunities or efficiencies.
• Load installer vans using a forklift and prepare install kits (yard signs, door hangers, materials).
• Ensure warehouse is clean and organized.
• Maintain accurate job records, photos, and documentation in CRM and company apps.
• Review completed jobs and verify all required photos and checklists prior to installer payment.
• Conduct post-installation customer follow-ups phone calls and request referrals and reviews when appropriate.
• Handle installation-related customer concerns and coordinate resolutions with installers and the Production Manager.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with installers and suppliers.

Experience & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in production, operations, construction coordination, or a related field
• Forklift certification (required)
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working with installers, customers, and vendors
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvements
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites on occasion

Work Schedule & Events

• Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Occasional Saturdays required due to installations or deliveries (schedule adjusted accordingly)
• Participation in ~2-3 home shows and local marketing events annually (some evenings/weekends)

• Mileage reimbursement for travel to job site unless using a company vehicle
• $50/month mobile phone stipend
• 10 paid sick/vacation days annually (pro-rated)
• Paid holidays including Good Friday, July 4th, Thanksgiving & Black Friday, Christmas Eve & Day, New Year’s Day
• Training provided (on-the-job, online, supplier training, and national conventions)

Pay: $50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience
