**Job Title: Embroidery Specialist**
**Overview**
The Embroidery Specialist is responsible for operating and maintaining Melco EMT16/EMT16X
embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered designs on garments and
accessories. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical skill, and the ability to
manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced production environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
Embroidery Production (Melco-Specific)
Operate Melco single- and multi-head embroidery machines using Melco OS /
DesignShop software.
Load and manage embroidery files (OFM format), select correct color sequences, and
adjust machine settings.
Hoop garments properly with correct stabilizers based on material type and design
requirements.
Perform test sew-outs and adjust stitch density, pull compensation, and thread tension
for optimal results.
Monitor machines during runs to ensure consistent production quality and minimize
downtime.
**Quality Control**
Inspect garments for stitch quality, color accuracy, alignment, and tension consistency.
Identify and correct common embroidery defects such as thread breaks, bird-nesting, or
misalignment.
Ensure all finished pieces meet company quality and customer branding standards.
**Job Setup and Workflow**
Review production orders and set up jobs in Melco DesignShop or OS as needed.
Prioritize daily embroidery schedule based on deadlines and production capacity.
Work with production leads to ensure smooth flow between embroidery, finishing, and
shipping departments.
**Machine Maintenance and Troubleshooting**
Perform routine daily and weekly maintenance, including thread path cleaning, oiling,
and needle changes.
Troubleshoot Melco-specific machine issues such as tension errors, bobbin problems,
and thread breaks.
Report any complex machine issues to management or technical support.
Inventory Management
Track and organize embroidery supplies: thread, bobbins, stabilizers, needles, hoops,
and accessories.
Notify management when supplies need to be reordered.
Collaboration and Communication
Work with designers and production staff to ensure file accuracy and garment
compatibility.
Communicate delays, design concerns, or production issues promptly.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient embroidery work area.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
Experience operating Melco embroidery machines (preferred: EMT16 or newer).
