Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union seeks a passionate and dedicated 7th and 8th Grade Math Teacher to join our team of collaborative and enthusiastic staff at Flood Brook School beginning in the 2026/2027 school year. In this position, the Teacher will deliver engaging, proficiency-based instruction within and among the mathematical domains to 7th and 8th grade students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. The 7th and 8th Grade Math Teacher is responsible for delivering learning opportunities that develop students' informational, critical, technological, quantitative, and media literacies, supervising and assessing student performance, & collaborating with content/grade-level colleagues to ensure transferable skill development in accordance with district ends policies.
Applicants are expected to know current instructional research and evidence-based instructional practices. Strong candidates will demonstrate a student-centered approach, exemplary oral and written communication skills, strong relationship building skills with students, and a commitment to working collaboratively with all colleagues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering rich mathematical learning experiences to middle school students in a public school setting.
