JOB SUMMARY
The Loan Officer Assistant serves as a critical member of FlipCo’s DSCR lending team by supporting the origination process from application through closing. This role is responsible for managing active loan files, coordinating borrower communication, collecting and reviewing documentation, and helping ensure loans move efficiently through the pipeline.

The Loan Officer Assistant serves as a trusted partner to both borrowers and Loan Officers, ensuring every transaction is handled with urgency, accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional borrower experience.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Manage an active DSCR loan pipeline and assist Loan Officers throughout the origination process
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers, providing proactive updates and guidance throughout the loan lifecycle
  • Collect, review, and organize required documentation to ensure complete and accurate loan files
  • Track loan milestones, conditions, and closing deadlines while maintaining urgency and accountability
  • Coordinate with underwriting, processing, title companies, insurance providers, appraisers, and other third parties
  • Prepare files for underwriting review and assist in clearing conditions efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records within the CRM and loan origination system
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and proactively solve problems before they impact closing timelines
  • Deliver a best-in-class borrower experience through responsive communication and consistent follow-through
  • Support reporting, pipeline visibility, and operational process improvement initiatives
  • Step in and assist teammates when needed to ensure the success of the broader team and borrower experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Required – 2 years of experience in mortgage lending, banking, title, escrow, real estate transactions, or a related field
  • Required – Bilingual Spanish - Read, Write, Speak
  • Preferred – Experience supporting DSCR, Non-QM, investor, or private money loan products
  • Experience as a Loan Officer Assistant, Processor, Mortgage Assistant, Transaction Coordinator, or similar role preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and loan origination platforms
ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy while working under deadlines
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to handle confidential borrower and company information
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer for long stretches
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
