Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tire services.
- Diagnose issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
- Conduct repairs on diesel engines and powertrain components.
- Work with air brake systems and perform alignment and suspension work.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the shop.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).
- Assist in auto body repair as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus.
- Experience with welding is advantageous.
- Ability to work with automotive electrical systems effectively.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various vehicle types.
