JOB SUMMARY: The Executive Director is the sponsoring organization’s designated staff member responsible for managing the Flint Hills Volunteer Center. The Executive Director selects, trains, and supervises a staff of up to three employees, and works cooperatively with the Board of Directors, volunteers, volunteer station staff, and officials of the AmeriCorps Seniors federal grant fund to plan and implement the AmeriCorps Seniors Program and Core Programs.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of three years of experience in management (nonprofit experience preferred). The equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable.
- Passion for the organization’s mission and values.
Required:
- Experience in grant writing and compliance reporting.
- Knowledge of nonprofit financial management and budgeting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, Board of Directors, donors, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with staff, Board of Directors, donors, sponsors, and other community stakeholders. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must have strong interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and must be detail-oriented.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
