Assembly Technician
Flight Works is seeking a hard-working, detail-oriented, self-motivated employee to take on several responsibilities across the production department in our Irvine office. Primarily, the position will focus on product assembly, part inspection, component testing, and assisting in the production and quality processes.

The position provides the opportunity for exposure to many disciplines, systems, and technologies in a fast-paced environment, where you will be working with others in all aspects of the product development cycle of components such as pumps, valves, controllers, systems, etc.
Job Description and Responsibilities
· Assembler of production components. Our products are extremely high-precision instruments with tight tolerances and stringent requirements. This portion of the job requires patience, persistence, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
· Conduct receiving and inspection tasks to accept components from outside vendors and internally manufactured parts. Requires using numerous inspection tools, such as micrometers, calipers, microscopes, image measurement systems, etc.
· Compile and complete associated forms, records, trackers, etc., per quality department requirements.
· Manage logs to ensure processes throughout the company are followed, pertinent information is captured and recorded, and the proper people are notified of flagged information when necessary.
· Support other activities such as operations of machines and basic manufacturing tasks such as deburring, cleaning, building test stands, etc.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
· At least 2 years of experience in aerospace or similar industry
· Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
· Highly self-motivated, proficient in Microsoft Office, strong attention to detail, mechanically oriented, willing to follow directions, diligent, able to communicate and organize well, able to adhere to stringent quality requirement systems, especially following processes carefully.
· Familiar with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
· Electrical assembly knowledge such as soldering, wire harnessing, etc.
· Must be able to work well in an integrated team, including daily interactions with technicians, engineers, and management.
· Able and willing to work with your hands and manage paperwork accurately and efficiently.
· US Citizenship or Permanent residency required.
