We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will perform high-level troubleshooting, diagnosis, and component-level repairs on motor controllers and electronic systems, helping us maintain our reputation for unmatched product quality.
Position Overview
As an Electronic Technician, you will use electrical theories, schematics, and precision test equipment to diagnose and repair sophisticated electronic devices. You will be responsible for everything from precision soldering to documenting troubleshooting procedures and helping guide team members within your product line.
Key Responsibilities
- Component-Level Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex motor controllers and advanced electronic systems down to the component level.
- Precision Bench Work: Solder, assemble, and disassemble electronic devices, including the removal and installation of through-hole and surface-mount components.
- Testing & Diagnostics: Utilize a wide variety of electronic test equipment, gauges, and wiring diagrams to conduct precise diagnostic procedures and implement system upgrades.
- Documentation: Author and maintain clear, accurate electronic troubleshooting procedures to build our team's technical knowledge base.
- Technical Benchmarking: Maintain deep, specialized technical knowledge of products and processes for at least one dedicated company product line.
- Collaboration & Training: Act as a technical resource by training, guiding, and collaborating effectively with colleagues to hit departmental goals.
- Safety & Organization: Maintain a clean, orderly workspace and strictly follow all prescribed workplace safety procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree (or degree in progress) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or an equivalent technical certificate/experience.
- Soldering Expertise: Minimum of 1 year of soldering experience required; direct experience with through-hole or surface-mount soldering is highly preferred.
- Technical Reading: Proficient understanding of electronic wiring diagrams, engineering schematics (minimum 1 year preferred), and technical specifications.
- Diagnostic Skills: Strong intermediate troubleshooting skills utilizing electronic gauges, power tools, and specialized testing equipment.
- Core Competencies: Accurate, efficient, and highly organized with a strict attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
- Mindset: Self-motivated problem solver who can handle competing priorities while remaining a collaborative, customer-centric team player.
