Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations across multiple business units, overseeing warehouse personnel, inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving activities, spare parts fulfillment, and operational performance. This role ensures the efficient execution of domestic and international shipments, maintains a safe and organized facility, and supports revenue-generating aftermarket and spare parts operations through timely order fulfillment and inventory management.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively supervise employees, drive accountability, support continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate across operations, manufacturing, customer service, and supply chain functions.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of approximately six warehouse employees across multiple business units.
- Provide daily direction, coaching, training, and performance management to warehouse personnel.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.
- Support hiring, onboarding, workforce development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Establish clear expectations and performance standards while driving operational excellence.
Shipping, Receiving & Logistics
- Manage all warehouse shipping and receiving activities, including domestic and international shipments.
- Coordinate transportation activities with freight consolidators, parcel carriers, and logistics providers, including UPS, FedEx, and other transportation partners.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations, documentation requirements, and international trade standards.
- Support the shipment of regulated and hazardous materials, including fuels, chemicals, and other controlled substances, in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Obtain and maintain required certifications, including ATEX certification and related hazardous materials training.
Inventory Management
- Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counting, audits, reconciliation activities, and process controls.
- Oversee inventory transactions and support ERP system activities related to warehouse operations.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage warehouse storage systems, including automated equipment such as Kardex systems.
- Ensure materials are properly stored, organized, and readily accessible to support operational efficiency.
Spare Parts & Aftermarket Operations
- Lead warehouse activities supporting the organization's spare parts and aftermarket business.
- Coordinate order fulfillment activities to ensure timely and accurate shipments to customers.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators, including:
- On-Time Delivery (OTD)
- Past Due Backlog
- Inventory Accuracy
- Order Fulfillment Performance
- Support revenue growth through effective management of spare parts inventory and fulfillment operations.
- Ensure operational processes are scalable and sustainable to support business growth.
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Utilize ERP and warehouse management systems to support inventory control and operational performance.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of warehouse systems, equipment, and operational processes.
- Maintain visual management tools and operational dashboards, including SCUDA boards and performance metrics.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, inventory accuracy, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Safety & Facility Management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, hazardous materials regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of warehouse equipment, storage areas, and workspaces.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
- 3 years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or materials management supervisory experience.
- Experience leading warehouse teams and directing day-to-day operations.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, shipping, receiving, and material handling processes.
- Experience working with ERP systems, warehouse management systems, or inventory management software.
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment and lift/move materials as required.
Preferred
- Experience with international shipping, freight coordination, and global logistics.
- Experience shipping hazardous materials or working in regulated industries.
- ATEX certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience with Kardex systems or other automated storage and retrieval solutions.
- Familiarity with KPI reporting, backlog management, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery metrics.
- Experience supporting spare parts, aftermarket, or service-based operations.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
