We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Warehouse Management Systems with a strong background in Cold Storage Warehouse Operations and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). The Director of Warehouse Management Systems is responsible for managing a small growing team of experienced WMS Management employees, new and existing implementations, customer requests, and support of all WMS related functionality. Ideal candidate lives in Jacksonville, FL.
Position Responsibilities
- WMS migrations and implementations (planning, execution, and support)
- WMS software updates/upgrades
- Warehouse and Fulfillment EDI
- 24/7 WMS uptime and usability
- WMS backups and disaster recovery
- Manage multiple simultaneous WMS implementations, related projects, and tasks
- Ensure the WMS team resolves all WMS related support tickets and requests in a timely fashion that meets all predefined SLAs
- Develop and execute resource and project plans, staff the WMS team accordingly, and track the progress of tasks and milestones I
- Identify, mitigate, escalate, and communicate issues and risks
- Oversee the development of change management strategy, including training documentation and classes
- Assist with budgets and cost allocation
- Create a strong working relationship with our WMS vendor, Datex
Job Requirements
- 4 years of experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of warehousing
- Experience leading or managing a team
- Ability to travel as needed
