IT and Management Consulting firm based in Vienna, VA, seeks a part-time FSO with active TS Clearance.
Hours/Schedule: PART-TIME, approximately 10 hours/week during regular business hours

Job Description: Manage the industrial security programs for client
- Ensure compliance with NISPOM, DISS, NISS, and NBIS systems, and government regulations.
- Key responsibilities include processing personnel clearances (PCLs), managing classified contracts from a security perspective, conducting security training, and acting as liaison with government security agencies. The FSO maintains three facility security clearances (FCL).
Responsibilities:
Personnel Security: Initiates, maintains, and tracks employee security clearances through DISS, NBIS, and e-QIP. Ensure that all new hires with a security clearance have DISS record owned by client. Place employees on a classified contract into appropriate access in DISS. Ensure that specific briefings for classified contracts are completed and renewed at appropriate intervals. Track CVUpdates needed of staff at five-year intervals and guide employees to submission of a revised SF-86 and track progress through DISS. Works with Corporate Recruiting to approval new hires from a security perspective and answer candidate requirement questions.
Training: Develops and administers security education, training, and awareness programs (SETA). Provide annual Insider Threat and general security training for all corporate staff. Work with Corporate HR to have all new hire complete security training.
Insider Threat: Implements and manages the company’s insider threat program and reporting procedures. Send out annual training.
Contract Support: Works with Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to have required onboarding documents completed by new resources and submitted in a timely manner.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensures facility compliance with the National Industrial Secutity Program (NISP). Prepares for and participates in Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) audits and security vulnerability assessments. Ensures that all company data in NISS is current to include KMPs and DD254s. Conduct an annual company self-inspection. Creates and delivers sub DD542 to subcontractors on a classified contract.
Qualifications:
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Clearance: Active Top Secret security clearance required, client will hold Clearance once hired
- Experience: Previous experience as an FSO or Assistant FSO (AFSO), specifically managing NISPOM compliance.
- Certification: FSO Program Management Certification (via CDSE) is highly preferred.
- Knowledge: Proficiency with DISS, NISS, OBIS, and e-QIP, and familiarity with SIMS, JPAS, and Scattered Castles.
