Location: Boulder, Colorado – Onsite

R&R | Prototype Development Engineer

Job Description (primary)
• POC prototype engineering and creation
• Prototype process definition for small build quantities
• Initially support lead DE in hands-on fabrication tasks
• Prepare materials and assemble components for production line
• Load and unload WIP from tooling
• Load and unload tools from machines
• Operation of specialized machinery that requires manual skills (ie. sewing machine)
• Provide process and tooling improvement feedback to DE

Job Description (secondary)
• Support tooling design and fabrication
• Support part and assembly CAD when possible

Required Qualifications
• Designer or maker with prior hands-on fabrication experience
• Knowledge of textiles, films, synthetics, leather, adhesives, etc.
• Team-oriented individual who is willing to contribute beyond defined responsibilities
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design preferred
