(Valdosta, GA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Asset Management to support asset data development, maintenance planning, CMMS implementation, and equipment reliability initiatives for industrial facilities.
Essential Duties:
• Conduct asset walkdowns and field verification to collect and validate mechanical equipment data.
• Review P&IDs, equipment drawings, manuals, OEM documentation, and plant records.
• Develop and maintain mechanical asset registers, equipment master data, attributes, and structured equipment hierarchies.
• Establish parent-child relationships and prepare asset data for CMMS implementation.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans, Job Plans, Task Lists, and Standard Maintenance Procedures.
• Validate Bills of Materials (BoM) and define maintenance strategies based on equipment criticality and OEM recommendations.
• Prepare Maximo/SAP-ready asset upload templates and support CMMS data cleansing, enrichment, and standardization.
• Coordinate with maintenance, reliability, operations, engineering, OEMs, and vendors to obtain technical information.
• Participate in client reviews and technical discussions and provide project progress updates.
Requirements/Skills:
• B.E. or B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in process or packaging plants, preferably within FMCG, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing.
• Experience with asset management, maintenance engineering, reliability, or CMMS implementation.
• Familiarity with Maximo, SAP PM, or similar CMMS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, preventive maintenance, asset hierarchy, master data, and BoM development.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform field walkdowns and navigate industrial and manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and inspect equipment as required.
• Ability to wear required PPE and follow site safety requirements.
• Ability to work in both office and industrial plant environments.
