We are seeking a Panel Shop Technician to join our growing production team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on electrical experience who enjoys building, wiring, and assembling industrial control panels. You will be responsible for panel fabrication, pre-mounting components, pre-wiring assemblies, and ensuring quality workmanship in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Panel Production & Assembly
- Perform panel pre-mount of backplates, DIN rail, wire duct, breakers, starters, relays, and other components.
- Complete panels pre-wire according to electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Build and assemble electrical control panels from start to finish.
- Install components neatly and accurately with attention to layout and routing.
- Perform point-to-point wiring, labeling, continuity checks, and quality inspections.
- Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and verifying panel functionality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, production leads, and other technicians to meet project requirements.
- Communicate effectively in a team environment to maintain workflow and schedule.
Requirements:
- Ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics.
- Experience with electrical wiring and panel assembly.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with pipe and conduit bending is a plus.
- Knowledge of current electrical codes is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and procedures accurately.
- Reliability and consistency in meeting quality and production standards.
- High school diploma, technical school training, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1–3 years of electrical assembly or panel-building experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
