Accounts Payable Senior Analyst
Location: The Woodlands | Schedule: M–F
We are seeking a senior, hands-on AP professional — this is not a routine invoice processor role. This position plays a critical role in executing and managing complex accounts payable activities within an Oracle ERP environment (Oracle Fusion preferred). The role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and clear ownership of outcomes.
Priority Focus:
- Perform and own detailed vendor statement reconciliations (priority #1)
- Actively manage and reduce aging balances
- Investigate and resolve complex discrepancies (pricing issues, credits, duplicates, missing receipts, unapplied payments)
- Execute end-to-end PO and non-PO invoice processing with accuracy and compliance
- Take accountability for clearing stalled workflow items
- Support payment execution (ACH, wires, checks) in accordance with controls
- Prepare AP accruals and support month-end and year-end close
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure adherence to AP policies and internal controls
This role serves as a key liaison between internal departments and external vendors, partnering closely with Accounting and Supply Chain to resolve root causes — not just symptoms. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to process improvements.
We are currently in an ERP stabilization and operational scaling phase, so the candidate must be able to hit the ground running with minimal oversight. Enterprise-level AP experience and demonstrated success improving aging and reconciling complex vendor accounts are strongly preferred.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of progressive accounting/AP experience
- Strong knowledge of AP processes, controls, and systems
- Oracle Fusion AP experience preferred
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
