What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC operator/Tool Sharpener/Polisher position at Flexcut Tool Co. Inc.?
CNC operator/Tool Sharpening/Polishing Position (pay commensurate with experience) - This is not a traditional tool and die polishing position. The job requires the individual to load the CNC with blade blanks. While the machine is running, the employee will need to grind, polish, correctly sharpen the bevel on the blade by hand, and lastly test through a block of wood.
Requirements:
Strong Work Ethic / Self Starter
Craftsman/Mechanically inclined
Hand eye coordination
FIne motor skills
Attention to detail
CNC Machining Skills (not required, but a plus)
Good attendance
Ability to follow directions
Ability to stand for an eight hour shift
Character traits:
Trustworthy, attentive, follow instructions, positive attitude, work independently, punctual, and ability to work in a shop environment.
Skill testing:
A paid four hour skill test ($40.00) will be given to each qualified candidate.
The candidate chosen for employment will have a 90 day probationary period to be assessed for full time employment.
Work Hours: M-F 6AM to 2:30PM
