What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant position at Flex-Staff?
Job Title: Office Assistant
Pay Rate: $17/hour-$23/hour, based on experience
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week, 8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday
Length: Temporary to Hire
Location: Appleton, WI (on-site)
Requirements:
- Customer service experience within an office type setting
- Experience working with customer orders is a plus
- Must be able to read a tape measure and have math skills including working with fraction to decimal conversion
- Proficient with the Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, QuickBooks is a plus
- Able to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively and work tasks changing throughout the day
- Take initiative, good follow-through, and organizational skills
- Able to assist on the production floor at times if needed, lift, bend stoop and reach, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phones and greet visitors
- Maintain up-to-date customer contact information in database and maintain the filing system
- Provide excellent customer service to vendors, internal, and external customers
- Prepare orders and enter data into the company’s software program to create sales orders, purchase orders and invoices
- Process customer payments
- Set up customer appointments
- Maintain office area and showroom, receive in deliveries and handle incoming and outgoing mail
