Job Responsibilities
The Forklift/Material Handler position is responsible for operating a forklift to help load and unload trucks, haul finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing lines and pulling orders when necessary. This position works in a clean, consistent and safety conscious environment. The successful candidate will have the ability to operate a forklift, to work in a team environment, work without direct supervision, and demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.

Product Security Sensitive – As a product sourcing facility our customers require Rockline to possess security standards and procedures to guard against the introduction of unmanifested cargo, such as illegal drugs, explosives, weapons and people into outbound shipments. This position has contact or influence over these “outbound” shipments and is considered Product Security Sensitive.

Pay: 1.29 markup
For WW and CF:
$18 base = $23.22
2nd shift = $1.00 shift diff ($19 = $24.51)
3rd & 12 hours = $2.00 shift diff ($20.00 = $25.80)
For Vision Park:
$21 base = $27.09
2nd shift = $1.00 shift prem = $22.00 ($28.38)
3rd and 12 hours - $2.00 shift prem = $23.00 ($29.67)
Shift Hours:
Day shift – 5:30 a.m. - ? – these can be 8, 9, 10, or 12 hour shifts depending on orders. Monday through Thursday.
Night shift – 5:30 p.m. - ? - these can be 8, 9, 10, or 12 hour shifts depending on orders. Monday through Thursday.
Weekend CF – 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. – Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Shift Hours:
VISION PARK (hours are not consistent and seem to be case-by-case):
We think the normal 8's are: 1st 6am-2pm, 2nd 2pm-11pm, 3rd 11pm-6am (but some are on an 8am start??)
12 hour Day shift – 5:00AM TO 5:00PM – rotating like the A/B/C/D shifts.
Night shift – 5:00pm to 5:00am - rotating like the A/B/C/D shifts.
Weekend CF – 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. – Friday, Saturday, Sunday
OVERTIME RULES - WE CHARGE 1.26 ON OVERTIME!!!!
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift associates – over 40 hours in a work week will receive time in a half
- Weekend shifts =
- anything over 40 in a work week will receive time in a half and over 60 hours in a work week – they get double time for any hours over 60.
Day of Rest
Associates must receive one day off (24 consecutive hours) each calendar week (Sunday through Saturday).
WEEKEND SHIFT: Friday/Saturday/Sunday temps **These associates can come in and work Monday through Thursday (cover for vacations, etc) AND WILL GET WEEKEND RATE.
- Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours.
- Example – $19.00 base pay $19.00 X 40 hours = $760.00 $760.00 divided by 36 hours = $21.11
- Example – $19.00 base pay
- FOR PAYROLL LIST 36 HOURS AT HIGHER RATE
Required Skills:
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Previous forklift operating experience is preferred.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Previous experience with machines, heavily-automated environments, or previous general production are encouraged to apply.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check for this particular position.
