What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance position at Flex-Staff?
We are seeking full-time maintenance workers starting at $18.77/hr based on experience. Hours working are between 6am-4pm, Monday-Friday. These direct hire opportunities offer a full benefit package as well.
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the reliability and uptime of all production equipment and conveyance systems (e.g., potato conveyance equipment) within the facility. This role primarily involves performing routine preventive maintenance (PM), diagnosing and repairing impromptu breakdowns, and executing special rebuild projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair on production machinery.
- Conduct emergency repairs efficiently to minimize plant downtime.
- Install, maintain, and service various production machines and facility components (including basic plumbing and carpentry).
- Proactively troubleshoot equipment and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Accurately document all work performed in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) software.
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
- Mechanical Aptitude to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex equipment issues.
- Commitment to Safe Work Habits and adherence to all safety protocols (LOTO, PPE, etc.).
- Ability to work effectively in indoor/outdoor manufacturing environments, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, bending, and working at heights.
