Job Title: Picker/Packer 

Reports to: Production Lead

Department: Production/Shipping & Receiving

Position Summary

The Picker/Packer is responsible for accurately selecting, preparing, packaging, and staging products for shipment while maintaining quality standards and meeting customer delivery requirements. This role plays an important part in ensuring customer orders are complete, properly packaged, and shipped on time. This person will work closely with shipping & receiving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Pick materials, parts, and finished goods according to written or electronic orders. 


• Verify product quantities, part numbers, and specifications for accuracy. 


• Package products using appropriate materials to ensure safe transport and prevent damage. 


• Label packages and prepare shipping documentation as required. 


• Maintain accurate inventory transactions and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits. 


• Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and forklifts (if certified). 


• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required


• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, picking/packing, or shipping experience preferred.


• Basic computer skills and ability to use inventory/ERP systems


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


• Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude

Working Conditions

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods


• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds


• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable.

Success in This Role Looks Like:

• Orders are picked and packed accurately and efficiently. 


• Customer shipments are completed on time with minimal errors. 


• Inventory remains organized and accurate. 


• Safety and quality standards are consistently followed.

Wage

$18.00-$20.00/hour
