Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Secretary with 3-5 years of civil litigation experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administration, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to lawyers and paralegals
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery and correspondence
- Organize and maintain legal files
- Open and close case files
- E-file documents with state and federal courts
- Case management
- Time entry for assigned attorneys
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School diploma
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience as a legal secretary, with a focus on civil litigation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
