- Develop and implement operations plans to maximize margins in the Service Department.
- Responsible for achievement of annual company Service department budget.
- Responsible for achievement of weekly, monthly, and yearly Service KPI’s.
- Daily management of Service operations to ensure company policies and standard procedures are followed.
- Provide support to trailer sales, rentals, and parts by maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Manage and closely monitor Warranty issues.
- Inspect and maintain a safe work environment and clean facility.
- Manage Service department assigned vehicles.
- Review Service work schedules to maintain steady volumes.
- Promote personal and professional growth of all Service employees in all areas of their current responsibilities through training and work assignments.
- Conduct weekly staff meetings with Service personnel.
- Plan, conduct and participate in Monthly Safety Meetings.
- Establish and maintain friendly, yet professional relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, customers, co-workers, and direct reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bilingual: fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 years’ experience in a related field; or 10 years’ experience in a related field.
- At least 5 years multi-faceted business experience including a track record of successful sales and service management experience in the transportation industry.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain business relationships with customers and at all levels within an organization.
- Previous experience implementing operational procedures.
- Proficient with intermediate level in Microsoft Office programs
- Supervisory skills demonstrated by the ability to lead people, get results through others, and provide individuals with professional and personal growth.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully evaluate and direct personnel in the development of short and long range goals.
