Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Vehicle Production Bus Inspector to join our dynamic inspection team located in Anniston Alabama. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of heavy-duty vehicles during the production process. Your keen eye for detail and mechanical expertise will help maintain the highest standards in vehicle assembly, contributing to the delivery of reliable and safe transportation solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in manufacturing and quality assurance. The Contract we currently are hiring for is 30 buses and should take around 3 months to complete if job well done, we will have more opportunities in the future moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of heavy-duty vehicle components and assemblies using precision measurement tools such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, production documents, and technical specifications to verify compliance with quality, federal, and client standards.
- Utilize quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, HACCP, and FDA regulations to document inspection results accurately.
- Execute quality audits throughout the production line to identify deviations from quality standards in accordance with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address non-conformances through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, measurements, and quality data for continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within manufacturing environments, particularly in heavy-duty vehicle or machinery production.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with measurement instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
- Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and FDA regulations is highly desirable.
- Experience conducting quality audits and implementing quality systems within a manufacturing setting.
- Analytical skills with attention to detail for dimensional measurements, GD&T analysis, and data collection.
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurement calculations and data interpretation.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with strong problem-solving abilities to identify issues quickly on the production line.
- Ability to interpret and write production documents accurately and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in a fast-paced environment.
